My foundational programming languages are C and C++, and my foundational web development experience was in a Ruby on Rails/React environment. I have always worked in an agile development environment, have plenty of experience managing SQL databases and both developing and implementing APIs, and always emphasize accessibility in every project I work on. I have an extremely broad programming background, which is further buoyed by my research and data analysis experience in various STEM disciplines. I have spent my last five years developing software tools for use in the transportation, insurance, aerospace, education, and immigration fields. I have worn a lot of developer hats over the years -- as a researcher and analyst, software engineer, and web developer.I am passionate about social justice in software design, and I use my knowledge of STEM education to build accessible applications that are intuitive and tailored to the users' needs. I want to take part in building technology that promotes a more accessible world and aids in creating equity in our communities.I enjoy learning new languages and technologies, and jump at the chance to use my education skills to teach others and work together to solve complex problems.When not coding, I can be found playing guitar, roller skating, rock climbing, or working on my writing and digital art skills with a cat in my lap.
